Back to Bouldering

Memorial Day Boulder: Though bouldering has been happening here for quite awhile, it was developed and worked on a Memorial Day Weekend. Also, it's a fitting tribute to those who may have bouldered it years ago. If you know of the history in this area, drop us an email or post up on the forum. Thx.

This boulder is not a tall one, but for it's accessiblity, it has plenty to play on in combination with Pump Rock itself. Throw in the other boulders for variety and you have a decent session.

1. V2 High Traverse- Left to right using all holds on top, but above #7 drop down and across to incut pocket and off right.

2. V0- Onemove off the edges and up to the top.

3. V0- Onemove off the edges and up to top.

4. V2 Establish on small sidepull/crimp on left and good slope on #5 and go up and left to good rail. Bit of a reach problem.

5. V1 From decent slopes go straight up to sloping holds only, then to good rails on top.

6. V0* Use good edges going more or less straight up. Jug is off.

6a. V0 Variation- anything going up and right using jug.

7. V0+* SDS on incuts to crack and up and left to jug and up.

8. V0+** SDS on right side of crack and "ear" knob. Right to left rising traverse.

9. V3* SDS to right of "ear" on good edgey rail low to ground. Then out to "ear" and heelhook and up to blunt arete and then roll it up.

10. ? SDS On corner/arete.

11. "Heiroglyphics" V4? Project SDS on incuts near corner then traverse left to better incuts, to "ear" knob and finish on #8. Unconfirmed grade. "V5" chalked on the problem one day. If you know who sent it and when email us please.

12. V4* Stand start on crimp and high right knob. Going to incut pocket on top, mantle off.

13. ?* Dyno. From meaty part of rail to incut pocket on top. Mantle off.

14. Full lip traverse not drawn. SDS, then right to left.
